The truth is that most of them just want to take your hard-earned money and nothing else.

To be able to start earning with affiliate marketing you will need to invest time, patience, and hard work. I am working with hundreds of clients across the world and most of them are successful affiliate marketers. Why they are profitable? Because they wait.

It is a legit way to make a passive income online but patience is the key. Sure, you can make quick money with affiliate marketing but in that case, you need to have a great offer and you need to have a lot of quality traffic that will be interested in what you offer.

Let’s say that you have an Instagram profile with 1M followers. In that case, you can start making a quick buck because some of those followers will definitely buy the product or service that you recommend.

That’s right my friend, to be able to start making money with affiliate marketing and generally, to be able to start working with affiliate marketing you will need to have a niche website.

A niche website is a website that is focused on some specific niche like let’s say:

• Losing weight for veterans
• Paleo diet for women
• Traveling for teens
• healthy recipes for kids
• etc

Literally, you can choose whatever niche you want but that need to be something specific, not generally. In that case, you will have a chance to rank on Google and get massive traffic.

Many people ask me if is it strictly required that you have a website. Well, I can say YES, you simply have to have a website to be able to make serious money online and primarily a passive income which we all want.

Without a website it can be really hard, it is possible but it will take you much longer. There are many people who are making millions in affiliate sales without a website but they have a brand and enormous following. When you are starting you don’t have a big following and you must start from zero.

Now we have come to the last section where I will give you an answer from my personal experience and of course, what most people say about making money with affiliate marketing.

How Fast Can You Make Money With Affiliate Marketing?

Most affiliate marketers will tell you ”it depends on” and what is the worst thing, it’s true. It really depends on many factors but mostly it depends on you.

Some people work less some work more and everyone will see different results. From my personal experience, I can say that you start seeing positive results in terms of money in at least 3-6 months.

In my case, I have seen my first affiliate sale after 3rd month and I was shocked. I have made $100+ in commissions and from that moment I knew that affiliate marketing is working.

The point is that it might work differently for you, you may start making regular commissions in 1 month and maybe you start getting sales in the 12th month, there are no rules and it only depends on your time invested in this.

Affiliate marketing is a business and you should treat it like that, as I said it is not a get-rich-quick scheme where you will get rich overnight.

Now I will divide a timeline based on my own experience with making money with affiliate marketing, you can see how fast it can take you to start making serious money.

Your First Month as an Affiliate Marketer ($0)

The first month is the hardest one. In your first month, you will be learning about how affiliate marketing work and what strategies you need to use to be able to make money.

In your first month, you will not see any earnings or affiliate sales, maybe if you are lucky but very rarely. You will also see that you need to have a website because having your own niche website is the best way to make money with affiliate marketing, I always say that.

So basically, in your first month, you will be learning how to create your niche website, do keyword research, write content, monetize a website, and do similar things. You will also learn SEO which is crucial for a profitable website.

2-4 Months In (It Starts to grow!)

In your second and third months, you will probably see some traffic coming to your sales pages and your website. It is the time when you should focus on creating high-quality content in your niche.

I have already said to you, I made my first sale in my 3rd month and I was shocked. When you see that first affiliate sale you will feel like you have made a million, I felt like that.

So, your biggest worry in these months is to create as much content on your website as you can, just write, write and write, don’t stop. You will thank me later.

5-9 Months In (You Have Made It!)

In these months your traffic will start ramping up and you will see some amazing results in terms of affiliate sales. You will basically start making daily sales and your earned money will only start growing with each passing day.

I remember that in my first 6 months I was making enough to pay my bill for the house as I live in Serbia where the living standard is pretty low. I was making between $300 and $500 monthly which was great.

After that, my monthly earnings grow so high that I was ready to invest in my own apartment which was crazy.

Again, this did not fall from the sky, I was working hard just like now and those were the fruits of my hard work. When you start getting affiliate sales your work is not done, you need to work even hard then so your earnings keep growing.

So, from my personal experience, I can say that you will need at least 3-9 months to start making serious cash with affiliate marketing.
