If you have chosen to write only about food for Labradors on your website then just stick to that! Do not change the topic at all costs because your website will suffer in terms of rankings.

Amazon is a pretty strong but also a very cautious affiliate program and if you have a niche website you will be accepted 100%. If your website is about everything you will be rejected.

2. Start Creating Great Content

The most important thing when it comes to a niche website is CREATING quality content consistently.

Affiliate programs like Amazon or CJ want to see great content on your website so in that way, they will know that you are gonna start making sales.

I see many guys create their websites and start immediately start applying for affiliate programs although they don’t have even 10 articles on their blog. That is a big mistake you must avoid.

The point is that you must create niche content on your website and you should avoid writing about everything that comes to your mind. Just STICK to your niche!

If you chose that your niche would be ”healthy food for Labradors” then just stick to it, do not start writing about cat food, etc.

In most cases, people get rejected by affiliate programs because their website is about everything. Not only you will not get accepted in affiliate programs but you will also NOT get ranked in the search engines like Google.

If you want to make real money with affiliate marketing and get approved in affiliate programs you will need to start doing the basics of SEO, like On-Page optimization.

You don’t need to be an SEO expert or anything similar, you just need to implement the basics and you will do well. Each and every of your post should be SEO optimized.

The point of SEO is to bring you quality traffic from search engines. You have probably ”googled” something many times. Let’s say that I am looking for the ”best whey protein for beginners”.

When I type that in Google he will give me the results and show me the sites that have given an answer to my search query. The site owner did a great job when it comes to the SEO so he is on the first page on google for that keyword.

SEO takes time but it is definitely worth it. You can get free organic traffic from search engines and the organic traffic converts the best so you will make affiliate commissions regularly.

Most affiliate programs want to see organic traffic on a website before approving them. If you are getting free traffic from search engines every affiliate program will accept you.

4. Start Driving Quality Traffic To Your Website

SEO is definitely the best source of getting free traffic to your website but that is not the only one you can or should use. There are many ways where you can start getting traffic, almost immediately:

• Quora is great for getting free traffic
• Paid ads (not recommended)
• Social media like Facebook, Instagram, and even TikTok
• YouTube channel
• Pinterest
• etc

All these are free ways to get more traffic to your blog except for paid ads where you need to pay to get traffic from search engines. I do not recommend that you use paid advertisements but instead focus on free traffic like SEO and social media.

It is very important that you have traffic on your website because most affiliate programs are looking for that. Most beginners are rejected because their website has 0 traffic or low-quality content.

More content on your website means more traffic so make sure that you work on that BEFORE applying to affiliate programs.

5. Start Applying To Affiliate Programs

When you have your own niche website and you started getting traffic on it you are ready to start applying to affiliate programs in your niche.

That is also very important, you should choose and apply to affiliate programs that are relevant to your niche. You should not promote anything and everything to your audience, in that case, you will not convert or make any sales.

If you are talking on your website about fitness equipment then find and apply for affiliate programs that offer such products and services.

The best way to find a relevant affiliate program is to go to Google and do some research. Just type ”your niche + affiliate program” without quotes and Google will give you sites that offer affiliate partnerships in your specific niche.

To start making money with affiliate marketing you must first choose where you plan to do it. You must choose the platform for doing promotions and making sales so affiliate programs are looking for that too.

Obviously, the most ”acceptable” option will be the website (and YouTube). That is why I am encouraging people to start their own niche website where they will be making passive income from affiliate marketing.
