I am pretty surprised how many people ask me if is it worth it to start a blog in 2024. You know, the short answer is a BIG YES but you also should know that blogging changed and what was working years ago does not work today.

It is completely normal to fail as a blogger and even not make any money but that does not mean that blogging is not worth it. That only means that you should work harder on your blogging strategy.

I can give you an answer to this in two ways, YES it is worth it and It depends. If you want to start a blog to make money online and make a passive income it is worth it.

But if you think that blogging is a quick way to get rich you are wrong and in that case, it is not worth it. starting your own blog can be very lucrative and profitable especially if you are consistent and willing to be patient.

Starting blogging is worth it for you if you have answers to the following questions:

• Is there a relevant audience that would like to read your blog?
• Are you willing to be patient? (Working on a blog at least 3-6 months before you see ROI)
• What do you want to achieve with your blog, what is the purpose of starting it?

If your answer to these questions is YES then blogging is definitely for you and it will be worth it for you to start it. But if you don’t have any plan or strategy for what would you like to achieve with blogging then you should definitely avoid it.

Was Blogging Worth It For Me So Far?

Heck yeah! It was and it IS!

I am a full-time blogger since 2016 although my full potential began in 2022 and it only keeps growing.

This does not mean that you will need years to achieve earnings and financial freedom. This is my personal work and I was not doing it right and that is why results are coming later for me.

This is very important! Before starting a blog you should write down on paper what you want to accomplish with your blog.

• Do you want to make money?
• Do you only want to spread your opinion about something?
• Do you want to do blogging only as a hobby?

These are the questions you should ask yourself before creating a blog. Depending on your answers the action will be different.

If your plan is to make passive income online with blogging you should be serious about that and work daily on your blog. If you only want to do that as a hobby, in that case, you can be relaxed and you can work on it only as part-time.

2. Commit Yourself and Work!

If you want to make serious cash with blogging you will need to commit yourself and do the work. Remember, no one will do the job for you, you are the one who must work.

When I was starting I thought that I could only create a blog, leave it in place for a couple of months and money would come just like that. It will not! If you avoid working on your blog you are gonna achieve nothing.

3. Be Extremely Patient

You will learn this with time but it is very important that you do not quit in your first couple of months. Even if you think that you are doing things wrong, DO NOT QUIT!

I have learned this the hard way. I stopped working on one of my sites after 3 months and that was my mistake. I was not patient enough to wait and see the results but guess what? That site started getting sales after 4th month and after that, I kept writing and being active on that website.
